Weather Radar – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how the Weather Radar iOS app (“the App”, “we”) handles your information. The App is designed to collect as little data as possible.

1. Information We Access

Location (only with your permission)

• The App requests “While Using” location access via Apple’s standard system prompt.
• Location is used only to fetch local weather, nearby radar imagery, and short-term rain alerts for your current position.
• Your coordinates are sent to the weather data provider for the duration of a request and are not stored by the App or transmitted to any server we operate.
• You can revoke location permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services.

Device identifier for advertising (only with your permission)

• The App displays ads served by Google AdMob.
• If you grant App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission, AdMob may access your device’s Advertising Identifier (IDFA) to show more relevant ads.
• If you decline ATT, ads will still be shown but will not be personalized using IDFA.
• ATT permission can be changed in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.

Diagnostic information

• We use Firebase Analytics (Google) to collect anonymous usage statistics (e.g., app opens, screen views) that help us improve the App. This data is not linked to your identity.

2. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not require account registration or login.
• We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, microphone, or camera data.
• We do not sell or rent any of your data.

3. Local Storage

Your preferences (temperature unit, wind unit, time format, etc.) are stored only on your device using UserDefaults. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.

4. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies:

1. 我们访问的信息

广告标识符(仅在您授权后)

• 本 App 通过 Google AdMob 展示广告。
• 如果您同意”App 跟踪透明度(ATT)”权限,AdMob 可能会访问您的广告标识符(IDFA),用于展示更相关的广告。
• 如果您拒绝 ATT,仍会展示广告,但不会使用 IDFA 进行个性化推送。
• ATT 权限可以在 iOS 设置 → 隐私与安全性 → 跟踪 中随时修改。

诊断信息

2. 我们不收集的信息

• 我们不要求注册账号或登录。

3. 本地存储

您的偏好设置(温度单位、风速单位、时间制式等)仅存储在您的设备本地(通过 UserDefaults),不会上传到我们的任何服务器。
